This morning we left sunny Lyndhurst at about 8:00am. We headed North on Brainard Rd and stopped to fill up our gas tank at the BP station on the corner of Rt 6 and Bishop Rd....we had some BP credits so the fill up only cost 17 bucks! Then, as is our roadtrip tradition, we stopped at McDonalds for sausage McMuffins with cheese...NO EGGS!!! Then onto I90 East to start the trip!!

Traffic was light and we made it to the Angola Service Center in NY for our first potty break!

Back in the car we climbed and continued East on the NY Thruway! Around 12:30 we decided to stop for lunch. I looked on Yelp and found a little place in Canandaigua, NY called the Bee Hive Brew Pub (20 Pleasant St). We each had a beer and split one monster turkey & cranberry sandwich. Everything on the menu had a bee reference. My beer was a Bee Hoppy and the sandwich was the Bee-Thank-Full....Mmm mmm mmm!!!

After lunch we took Rt 20 to Geneva NY and returned to the Thruway there. We exited in Amsterdam NY and started North toward the Adirondacks and Lake George...we made a stop for gas...and a potty break...and arrived in Lake George at about 5:30....not a bad trip at all!!

We checked into Scotty's Lakeside Resort; unloaded the car; freshened up, and headed out for dinner. Lake George is a cool resort town are but it is the off season so some restaurants are only open on the weekend. I found a cool place called the Dockside about 8 miles down the road on another little lake. (Glen Lake) We are glad we made the short trip. It was a nice place with a heated patio and our dinnerswere quite good!

Now we have returned to Scotty's and we'll call it a night so we will be ready for our first Mini Rally trip in the morning!
